*Annual Art Exhibition, 2023*

                                     *Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa Degree and Commerce College*

 

Ms. Asma Mansoor: In the said exhibition MUGHAL & TRADITIONAL architecture is emphasized with great efforts, acquainting the youth with its IRANIAN origin. The Islamic architecture selected from different areas of the world including DOME OF THE ROCK (Aqsa Mosque), BAIT ULLAH & other Pakistani buildings symbolizing the cultural heritage. Traditional and Irani  origined Mughal motifs are selected to elaborate the plain clay pots along with geometrical patterns having Islamic origins and background. Ceramics / relief work is specially done having been inspired by Pakistani heritage, Arabic calligraphy and Mughal architecture. Ms. Asma Mansoor: Glimpses of Islamic, Mughal & Persian architecture can be enjoyed in this exhibition as a rainbow, featured on wooden colour pallet & Relief on clay . This exhibition also shows that old but endless variety of past can still be enjoyed with a great & practical concern.

Ceramics

Ceramics produced in the form of relief work based on traditional motifs and built heritage of Pakistan mainly Mughal Architecture also executed floral images and Arabic calligraphy.

Miniature Painting

Architecture presented on wood in the technique of miniature painting by using wooden colour pallet as surface in which minute detail of building embellishment is enhanced skillfully. The Islamic architecture selected from different areas of the world including Dome of the Rock, Khana Kaba and Pakistani traditional buildings.

Tile Painting

Ceramic Tiles are painted in different mediums e.g. acrylics colours, oil paints, glass Colours, poster colours and different materials (buttons, beads, wires, dry flowers and ropes). On the tiles students executed their ideas and concepts in pictorial form.

Pot Painting

Traditional and Mughal motifs were selected to elaborate the plain clay pots by using poster colours in respective shades. Abstract and floral designs also found in pot painting.

Fabric Painting

Fabric Painting applied on floor cushions. Geometrical patterns created in vibrant colours by taking inspiration from our traditional and cultural motifs.

Textile Designing

Textile designs were created by the students with the theme of realistic and abstract configuration. Neatness and variation of ideas and colour scheme observed admirably.

Water Colour Painting

Water Colour is a popular and stunning medium of fine arts. Student’s excellent performance in this medium can be seen in still life painting, landscape painting and figure composition painting.

Oil Painting

Impressive still life painting, figure composition and land scape painting in oil produced by degree class students. Brush strokes, drawing skill, perspective sense and colour handling can be noticed in the paintings.

Computer Competition

A competition was conducted by Ms Ayesha Ejaz in intermediate ICS part-I Section G2. The students were asked to make flyers/ brochures using MS Word. Eight teams participated in the competition from which six were selected in round 1. Three teams were selected for final evaluation. The winners were given 2 thousand Rupees while runner up teams were given one thousand rupees each by Ms Ayesha Ejaz. With limited resources students produced excellent work that is highly appreciable.
